Jano was co-founded in 2015 by educator Shefali Chandan and her husband, a couple who have over 20 years of experience and qualifications in education, media and technology. Currently they are using their collective experience in educational publishing, networked learning, instructional design and information technology at organizations such as Scholastic, PBS Kids, Time Inc and Harvard University to bring engaging content in history and other liberal arts subjects to teens. Assisting them is a team of instructional designers, subject matter experts, graphic designers, and academics.
